Abstract
Tagetes moorei var.breviligulata is proposed as new. It differs from the typical population in habit, number of flowers, and size of the ray flowers. It is known from eastern Querétaro state, México. Descriptions, an illustration, a key, and a tabular comparison are provided.

Tagetes moorei var.breviligulata es propuesta como nueva. Difiere de la variedad típica en el habito, número de flores y el tamaño de las flores radiales. Se conoce del este del estado mexicano de Querétaro. Se incluyen descripciones, una ilustración, una clave y una tabla comparativa con especies afines.
